Sing Street

Tony-winning director Rebecca Taichman (Indecent) and book writer Enda Walsh (Once) bring John Carney's indy hit film Sing Street to the stage direct from its sold out engagement at New York Theatre Workshop.

Dublin, 1982. Everyone is out of work. Thousands are seeking bluer skies across the Irish Sea. And sixteen-year-old Conor and his friends turn to music to escape troubles at home and impress a mysterious girl. Entertainment Weekly said "It's a joy just to be swept along that beautiful sea," and The New York Times' Brantley noted "A boy presses 'play' and the world goes away. That basic, everyday magic act takes on fresh, senses-stirring life in Sing Street."
