The legendary Patti LuPone, who won Tonys for her roles in Evita and Gypsy, stars in this re-gendered revival of Stephen Sondheim's acclaimed musical. Katrina Lenk, who won a Tony for her role in The Band's Visit, co-stars.

The original show, which won six Tonys, tells the story of a single man about to turn 35, facing the judgment of his married friends, who wonder why he isn't married. In the new production, the protagonist is a woman (Lenk), while LuPone reprises her role as Joanne (The Ladies Who Lunch) in the recent London production.

The director is Marianne Elliott, the Tony-winning British director (War Horse and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time), who also directed last year's Tony-winning revival of Angels in America.
