A Bronx Tale

This streetwise musical is based on Chazz Palminteri's rough childhood, and tells of a young man caught between the father he loves and the mob boss he'd love to be. Set in the Bronx in the 1960s, when fire escapes and stoops dominated the skyline, the musical score features doo-wop harmonies, early rock and Sinatra-style ballads by Alan Menken (Aladdin)with lyrics by Glenn Slater (School of Rock).

The production is co-directed by Oscar-winner Robert DeNiro (who co-starred in the movie version of A Bronx Tale) and four-time Tony-winner Jerry Zaks.
