To Kill a Mockingbird

The stage adaptation of Harper Lee's Pulitzer-winning novel will preview on October 30th, 2018. Aaron Sorkin has adapted the script, directed by Tony-winner Bartlett Sher.

Set in Alabama in the 1930s, Mockingbird follows Atticus Finch, a small-town lawyer who agrees to defend a black man accused of rape. The story explors how the uproar following Atticus' decision affects his two kids.

Sorkin's plays include A Few Good Men and The Farnsworth Invention. He won an Oscar for his screenplay of The Social Network and also created the series The West Wing, for which he won four Emmys. Sher, a Tony winner for South Pacific, helmed the recent Bway premiere of Oslo (2017 Tony for Best Play). He's directing the upcoming Bway revival of My Fair Lady. Other Bway credits include The Light in the Piazza, bridges of Madison County and The King & I.
