To Kill a Mockingbird

Oscar-winner Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network) has adapted Harper Lee's Pulitzer-winning novel for Bway in a production directed by Tony-winner Bartlett Sher (South Pacific). Set in Alabama in the 1930s, Mockingbird follows Atticus Finch, a small-town lawyer who agrees to defend a black man accused of rape. The story explores how the uproar following Atticus' decision affects his two kids.

Sorkin's plays include A Few Good Men and The Farnsworth Invention. He also created the series The West Wing, for which he won four Emmys. Sher helmed the recent Bway premiere of Oslo (2017 Tony for Best Play) and is directing the upcoming revival of My Fair Lady. His other Bway credits include The Bridges of Madison County and The King & I.
