My Fair Lady

This new Lincoln Center production, directed by Tony-winner Barlett Sher (South Pacific, The King & I), the show's first revival in 25 years, features a score including "I Could Have Danced All Night," "Get Me to the Church on Time," "The Rain in Spain" and "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face." When it opened in 1956, the Lerner & Loewe work was hailed by the NY Times as "one of the best musicals of the century," by the Christian Science Monitor as "a work of theatre magic" and by the NY Herald Tribune as "a miraculous musical."

The story, based on a play by George Bernard Shaw, follows a London flower girl as she's given speech lessons by an arrogant professor of phonetics so that she may pass as a well-born lady.
