Latin History for Morons

Inspired by the near total absence of Latinos in his son's study of American history, John Leguizamo embarks on a frenzied search to find a Latin hero for his son'ts school project.

From a mad recap of the Aztec empire to stories of unknown Latin patriots of the Revolutionary War and beyond, Leguizamo breaks down the 3,000 years between the Mayans and Ricky Ricardo into 90 irreverent, uncensored and hilarious minutes in his trademark style.

The New York Times praised the Off-Bway version saying that "the show shyly poses sharp and timely questions of what culturally defines American identity and who, in the nationalistic age of Trump, has 'the right' to be here." Variety praised "Leguizamo's charismatic storytelling gifts" and called the show "personal, funny and endearing."
